Quantifier



Some – any – much – many
Some in positive sentences.
I have found some coffee.

Any in negative sentences and questions
There isn’t any sugar.
Is there any milk.

Don’t usually use much and many in positive sentences
There is a lot if stuff here.
I have got lots of cups.
Some – any for : plural countable nouns (biscuits, beans) and uncountable nouns (pasta, milk)
Some in questions
Would you like some coffee?

Negative meaning: not many, hardly any, not much.
Positive meaning: several, a few, a bit, a little.
