forms
1. Be going to
a. About personal plan or intention
I am
going to take my parents to Jakarta.
b. About a prediction based on present evidence
(something we know or can see now).
She did
so little preparation I think she is going to fail some of them.
c. About arrangements with other people or organizations.
What time
are you going to the doctor?
2. Present Continuous
About arrangement with other people or
organization.
ex: We are
staying in a bed-and-breakfast for a few days.
Usually know
exactly when these arrangements are happening.
ex: I am meeting
him at 4:30.
3. Will
a. About a decision made at the same time of speaking.
I will
fit in with whichever day suits you.
b. About prediction that is not based on present evidence.
I am
sure he will enjoy the park.
c. About future facts
I will
be 50 next birthday.
d. About offers
I will
give you a hand with the washing-up.
Often use
definitely and probably:
She will
definitely get promoted.
She will
probably get promoted.
He definitely
wont get promoted.
He probably
wont get promoted.
4. Present Simple
About a fixed event on a time table, calendar,
etc.
It s on
BBC tomorrow.
It starts
at 8.30.
Example:

spoke to Army. She is
coming to Eddy with us.
= Oh,
good. Which day are we
going?

Monday.
= Fine.
By the way, I am going to
buy a video camera at the weekend.
I
