Future Continuous
1. For something that will be in progress
at a point of time in the future.
So this time next week we will be walking round UWA
campus.
Compare:
We are
playing tennis at 2.30 (=the march starts at this time).
We will
be playing tennis at 2.30 (= the match will be in progress at
this time).
2. For something that will happen in the normal course of events, without any particular plan or intention.
We will be passing by your place on the way to work.
(this is the best route).
Come round whenever you like. I will be looking after
kids all day. (this is what I normally do during the day).
Note:
Often very little difference between Future Continuous and
Present Continuous.
Don’t call me in the morning. I will be working.
Don’t call me in the morning. I am working then.
This time tomorrow I will be lying on a beach.
I will not be going there again for a while.
When will you be seeing her again?
Will he be working that day?
Note:
As with
(seperti halnya) other continuous verb forms, we don’t usually use state verbs with the Future Continuous.
This time tomorrow I will
know be knowing my exam results.
