Wish - EC 3 - 8

We just got married.

We are renting a tiny little apartment.

It would be great if we could afford a bigger place to live.

We don’t have enough room for all our stuff.

I just wish I weren’t so busy with my work.

I have to work most weekends,

So, I never have enough time to do anything fun.

If I had more free time, I would go traveling every weekend.

Well, I never get to go away on holiday.

I just don’t have enough money to go somewhere exciting.

Yeah, If I could choose anywhere, I would probably go to R to see the C beach.

I wish I didn’t live so far away from my family.

My sister just had a baby – a little boy.

And I never get to see him.

I really miss everyone.

If I lived closer, I would be able to help out.

I wish I didn’t have to commute three hours a day.

If I could find a job closer to home,

Then I wouldn’t waste so much time on the train.

I wish I could finish my degree this year.

If I had a degree, then I could get a job,

And I would be able to pay off my student loans.

I wish I could do something more exciting with my life.

If I had the chance, I would work in another country or something like that.
