I’ve done all sorts of things in my career – adverts,
television, children’s theatre, Shakespeare ...
And between jobs I’ve worked as
a waiter, a lorry driver, and even a receptionist.
Now I’m touring with a small
theatre company.
We’ve been all over the country and apart from the actual
performances, I’m in charge of dealing with the theatres, arranging
accommodation, organising transport - because of course you have to get
everything from one place to another.
There’s a lot of responsibility because
everything has to go smoothly.
I’m also in charge of the finances and usually
have to sort out everyone’s problems and, of course, actors aren’t well known
for being easy people to deal with.
And all that’s before I even go on stage!
So at the moment I’m incredibly busy.
But the tour finishes in a couple of
months and then I’ll have to look for another job – that means going to
auditions again.
