Warm individualism

I have done many kinds of jobs.

The need to earn money 
should be separate from the passion that is art.

I am sure that even if I would change my job tomorrow, 
for need of profit,

I would continue to paint for myself.

It’s something that I need, 
something that I do apart from anything.

The five years of art school 
were more of a technical experience
than an emotional one.

Something happened to me in Bali.
I can’t describe [what it was].

I got self confidence… 
It was something 
that made me feel
that I wanted to express myself.

In the first years I was very attracted
to the strong Hinduism.
During my  first years as an artist,

I also experienced a period
when I felt I was doing what the market wanted him
to do rather than what I did.

It was the beginning, 
the first contact with the art markets…

I had an exhibition 
and I felt I wasn’t an artist anymore.
The long process of the paint to get dry 
gave me the chance to change my mind.

In action painting, however, 
he gained the balance of control 
and unpredictability he desired.

One thing that might not change 
is his place of comfort.

I need to make my mind free 
to explore new things.
Art is supposed to be communication.

It should not be in my room.

It should be reinterpreted.

So I am happy when I close my eyes 
and I think about all my paintings in different houses,
different families.

I hate when people buy
or choose an artwork from me 
to match the sofa.

Construction

We will discuss the results of the survey next week.
So hopefully we can start construction
no later than mid-August or early September.

Candidate

With all due respect to A and B,
I also have decided to join the election 
as a candidate for the gubernatorial post.
I dont want to talk further about it.

I just found proof

A who once admitted an addiction to sex

A and B who have been married since 1997,

served with chili and sweet soy sauce.
I eat it with warm rice.
It is simple and I really love it.

 I use a trainer 
because I am not a disciplined person.

I don’t stop eating all the delicious food that I like.

I love fried rice and I still eat it.
I prefer to prioritize my health.
 

On ling holidays, 
I normally have vacation in Bali or Bangkok.

I usually go there to relax for several days.
Most of the time, 
I just stay in Jakarta
and take walks with friends.

We have already proposed that four of our staff members join the training from the agency
to prepare us to implement the distribution.
But we haven't yet recieved any advanced computers.

Church treats

We are here today because we have been much troubled by the Sunday services held on the street.
It disrupts traffict and blocks side-walks.

We know nothing of the legal matters.
We just want them to carry out their services elsewhere
because we want the neighborhood to be safe and peaceful.

Profession

I know there are a lot of issues.

I realize the complexity of the problem and that something need to be done.

I am so lucky my hobby can be channeled through this profession.

Mother

Being a mother is an exhausting job

because it demands your attention 24 hours a day.

It is indeed tiring

but when I see his face, it is just heaven.

Train Singel Operation

I travel on the regular air-conditioned train from Bogor to Depok.

I used to pay only Rp.5.500,

but now I have to pay Rp. 7.000 for the trip.

It’s normal that we need to adapt to changes,

but we believe the system is for the greater good.
