Everyday Life & Habit

What is a typical morning like in your home?

Well, I am pretty busy.
I get up early.
I check my emails, and listen to the radio.
Then I study.

It is crazy.
We get up late, so I eat breakfast in the car.
My husband doesn’t have breakfast because he drives.

Oh, I don’t like mornings.
Our house is so noisy.
My sister watches TV.
And my brother plays games on the computer.

Well, I have breakfast and my wife has coffee.
We both read newspaper.
We are pretty quiet.
We don’t talk a lot.

In my family, we don’t have breakfast together.
We don’t talk a lot.
I check my emails after get work.
I get up early in the morning.

Habit
I use an alarm clock.
I hardly ever get up late.
I hardly ever exercise in the morning, but I clean the house and garden.
I sometimes sing in the shower.
I never eat a big breakfast.
I never drive to work.

Do you play sports every week?
Do you take a class?
Do you take any lessons or classes?
Do you check your emails on the weekend?
Do you make a phone calls on Saturdays.

I don’t eat a lot of snacks every day.
I do my homework late at night.
I watch tv after dinner.
I check my emails every day.
I watch youtube video in the evening which I download in the morning at the office.

He belongs to a club.
He plays on a team.
He works on the weekends.
He has breakfast in the car.
He studies English after work.
He gets up early on Sundays.

What are your neighbor like?
Well, they are very noisy.
They like loud music.
Do you see your family a lot?
Well, not really. They don’t live around here.

Personal sleep

How many hours do you spend in bed?
6 or 7 hours a night may be?
And how many hours do you spend in front of TV?
9 or 10 hours may be?
That is not a lot, is it?
Well, think again and add together all the hours you spend on these activities in a lifetime.
And the total numbers are surprising.
In an average lifetime:
An American works over … hours.
Walks an amazing …kilometers.
And spends 3,5 years eating.

On average, Americans sleep for 24 years.
And watch tv for 12 years.
That’s 36 years – about half a lifetime in a bed or on the couch.

An average teenager
Drink 16 cans of soda a week.
Eats dinner 3 times a week.
Spends about 5 hours a month online.
Watches tv 20 hours a week.

I work 8 hours a week.
I exercise 7 hours a week.
I use a cell phone 3 times a day.
I go out with my friends 2 night a week.
I spend 6 hours with my family on weekends

I read the horoscope.
They take their own food into the movie theater.
They listen to other people conversation.
